John started C&B Electrical Pty Ltd in 1996 predominantly starting out by himself as young & keen to learn and grow his passion for the electrical Industry after completion of his apprenticeship. After achieving an A Grade Electrical licence, John registered C&B Electrical as a company and entered the market as an Electrical contractor.
Initially focusing on new domestic homes and service, as the years progressed, John gradually started to grow his client base. John then started to employ people as his business got busier as the clientele grew.
John saw technology starting to emerge and saw opportunity to enhance his skills. John went back to night school and gained licences for Open Registration for structured cabling, DATA networks, CCTV, MATV Coaxial endorsements.
Sometime later, the skills and competencies gained saw opening and opportunity to enter the design and install of corporate networks and provide expert advice in DATA solutions.
John has now been in business for over 25 years and is well known by many stakeholders in this industry. John has built his business through dedication, passion, service and hard work which still flourishes today.
John has been a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association since 1996 also.

Craig Menes
Construction & Estimating Manager
Prior to starting with C&B Electrical Pty Ltd in 2007, Craig also completed his electrical apprenticeship and was employed as an electrician with various companies. In 2002, Craig decided to take a diversion in his career path being employed as technical sales representative for a well-established Switchboard manufacturer and circuit protection supplier.
In 2004, Craig moved to the Office of the Chief Electrical Inspector, the regulatory body now known as Energy Safe Victoria where he was employed as Compliance Officer in Equipment Safety.
Craig developed sound knowledge of the Electricity Safety Act & associated regulations. Craig also acquired his Electrical Inspectors licence in 2006.
In 2007, Craig joined the business with John as an electrician working for the company with the aim to aid John with the continuing success and grow C&B Electrical Pty Ltd.
In 2010, Craig become more heavily involved in estimating and quoting and project management.
Craig holds a Certificate 3 in Occupational health and Safety, Energy Efficiency certification issued by NECA Eco Smart Electricians and a competency certificate for the NCC – BCA – Part J6 for Commercial Lighting Design and Compliance also issued by NECA.
Today, Craig has a good rapport with all C&B Electrical customers and staff and plays an important role within the company.
